JASPER, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team opened the 2020 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Divisional Crossover with a 7-1 victory over the Clark Atlanta University (CAU) Panthers at Memorial Park on Thursday afternoon amid the confusion of an unprecedented shutdown of all NCAA events.

Hannah Brenton (4-6) held the Panthers (5-11, 2-3 SIAC East) to two hits with no walks and three strikeouts over four innings.
Spring Hill did most of the damage on offense in the 2
nd inning when they exploded for six runs with six hits off CAU starter Brianna Smith who took the complete-game loss with 10 hits, two walks and one strikeout.
The Badgers finished this abbreviated season at 8-7 overall and 4-0 in the SIAC West Division.
