MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's basketball team finished the 2019-20 regular season with a 73-69 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) victory over the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers on Tuesday evening at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
Spring hill held a 39-29 lead at halftime and a 57-46 bulge heading into the 4
th quarter only to watch it evaporate down to 71-69 with 12 seconds remaining in the game. Senior Badger shooting guard

Daja Walker of Tuskegee, Ala., led the Badgers with 16 points versus her hometown team while junior guard
Kate Hammond added 11 points and Reilly contributed 10 points in her final home game wearing the purple and white.
As a team, the Badgers shot 48.1% (25-52) from the floor and 46.2% (6-13) from beyond 3-point distance. SHC lost the ball 19 times against 10 steals by the Tiger defense. The Badgers knocked down 73.9% (17-23) of their free throw opportunities and edged out a 36-34 margin in rebounding.
India Blakely and Ashiala Jackson paced the Golden Tigers with 23 and 22 points respectively as Tuskegee shot 41% (25-61) from the field and just 7.1% (1-14) from 3-point range. The Golden Tigers (14-13, 10-8 SIAC West) shot 64.3% (18-28) from the free throw line and lost 19 turnovers to nine steals by the Badgers.
The Badgers (11-17, 10-8 SIAC West) now wait to see which opponent they will face in the first round of the 2020 SIAC Championship Tournament held at the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center in Rock Hill, S.C., on March 2-7.
