ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's basketball team closed out the 2019-20 season with a 71-55 loss to the Paine College Lady Lions in the opening round of the 2020 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Championship Tournament on Monday afternoon at the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center.
The Lions (8-17) held a 35-28 advantage at halftime and led by as much as 18 points late in the 3
rd quarter.

Katie Krout added 10 points and freshman point guard
Lindi DeBilzan hauled in 12 rebounds.
As a team, the Badgers shot 33.3% (20-60) from the floor and 20% (2-10) from beyond 3-point distance. SHC lost the ball 20 times against 13 steals by the Lion defense. The Badgers knocked down 66.7% (8-12) of their free throw opportunities and were out-rebounded 42-40.
Keondra Archie paced the Lions with 17 points as Paine shot 41.5% (27-65) from the field and just 40.9% (9-22) from 3-point range. The Lions shot 66.7% (8-12) from the free throw line and lost 19 turnovers to six steals by the Badgers.
The Badgers finished the year with an 11-18 overall record including a 10-8 record and a 4
th place finish in the 7-team SIAC West Division.
