MOBILE, Ala. – Spring Hill College (SHC) bounced back from a season-opening road loss Saturday to beat Birmingham-Southern College, 7-0, Sunday morning in its home opener at Copeland-Cox Tennis Center.
Ulf Grosseloh improved to 2-0 on the year at No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Jamie Bekaert to give Spring Hill a 3-0 lead in the match. Grosseloh and Alex Demel set the tone with the first win of the morning at No. 2 doubles. It was the first doubles win for the newcomers and Demel also recorded his first Badger victory in singles action. The Badgers nearly swept the match, but fell 7-5 in No. 1 doubles action.
