HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's soccer team suffered a 5-0 Gulf South Conference (GSC) loss the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Chargers on Sunday afternoon at Charger Park.
The Chargers (4-8-1, 2-6 GSC) used goals by Brynn Colvin in the 24
th minute and Caroline Buchanan in the 42
nd minute to take a 2-0 halftime lead. UAH increased the lead with goals by Melanie Brannon in the 49
th minute, Annie Burd in the 57
th minute and Mia Penton in the 87
th minute.
Freshman SHC keeper
Hannah Linss (0-6) of River Ridge, La., made eight saves against 28 shots and nine corner kicks by UAH. Megan Buford and Izzy Huddleston of the Chargers faced nine shots and no corner attempts by the Badgers. Bufford made one save in 59 minutes while Huddleston collected three saves in 31 minutes in-goal.
The Badgers (1-11, 0-8 GSC) host the University of West Georgia Wolves (4-7-1, 2-5 GSC) at Library Field on Friday at 1 p.m. in a conference contest.
