Albany GA – The Spring Hill College (SHC) volleyball team defeated SIAC East Division rival Clark Atlanta University (CAU) at the SIAC Cross-Over tournament on Friday. The Badgers claimed the victory by scores of 25-12, 25-12, and 25-21.
SHC hitters continued their red hot work at the net producing a .429 attack percentage against CAU while limiting their opponent to a .089 attack percentage. SHC servers also unleashed 6 aces.
The Badger offensive attack was led by
Kassandra Fairly and
Allison Weimer who knocked down 11 kills apiece.
Sarah Senft contributed 9 kills while
Taylor Hurst and
Bentley Odom had 6 each.
Emmarose Neibert dished out 35 assists while spreading the ball around the Badger attack.
Defensively, the Badgers out dug Clark Atlanta by a 37-21 margin.
Payton Gidney led the defensive effort with 12 digs while
Cassidi Sterrett added 10 digs from the back line.
The Badgers (15-3, 10-0 SIAC) will close out play at the SIAC Cross-Over Tournament on Saturday against Benedict College at 9:00 AM.
