Mobile shuts out Badger Baseball 7-0
MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) baseball team accepted a rain-shortened 8-inning 7-0 loss to the University of Mobile (UM) Rams on Tuesday afternoon at Mike Jacobs Field.
 
The Rams used six pitchers to limit the Badgers to three hits and three walks with seven strikeouts while seven Badgers allowed 10 hits with three walks and four strikeouts. Jordan Taylor (1-0) of the Rams took the win in one inning of relief of starter Cody Campo who went three innings with one hit allowed, a walk and two strikeouts. Spring Hill starter Grant Schroeder (0-1) took the loss in one inning with two hits, three earned runs, a walk and no strikeouts.
 
Badger left fielder Brennan Fontenot and catcher Neil Ring each had a double for SHC. Mobile first baseman Christian Snow went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a home run while designated hitter Kyle Friday was 3-for-4 with a home run.
 
The Badgers (1-3) will host the Eckerd College Tritons (2-1) in a non-conference doubleheader on Saturday beginning at noon on historic Stan Galle Field.
