Mobile, AL – The Spring Hill College (SHC) volleyball team defeated former NAIA Rival William Carey University tonight in the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center. The Badgers claimed the victory by scores of 25-14, 25-19, and 25-22.
The Badger offensive attack was led by
Kassandra Fairly who hammered home 11 kills and
Allison Weimer who had 10.
Bentley Odom contributed 5 kills while
Taylor Hurst added 4.
Emmarose Neibert dished out a game high 28 assists to quarterback the Badger offensive attack.
Cassidi Sterrett led the defensive effort with 24 digs while
Sarah Senft (16 digs) and
Randi De'Armitt (11 digs) provided additional backline support to the Badger Blockers.
The Badgers (17-3, 11-0 SIAC) will look to remain undefeated in SIAC conference play when they travel to Memphis, TN this weekend for the SIAC West Division Cluster Event. SHC will play Central State at 11:00 AM, Lane at 1:00 PM and Kentucky State at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 12. They will stay in Memphis to play on Saturday against Miles at 12:00 PM and LeMoyne-Owen at 2:00 PM.
