Badgers fall 4-1 at Montevallo
MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's soccer team suffered a 4-1 Gulf South Conference (GSC) loss to the University of Montevallo Falcons at Varsity Field on Sunday afternoon.

The Falcons (4-2, 2-2 GSC) opened the scoring in the 7th minute with a goal by Michaila Franklin off an assist by Hannah Waki, but SHC answered back with a header for a tying goal by Hannah Fogt off an entry pass from Kylee Harrell in the 40th minute.

Montevallo delivered a gut shot to the Badgers as the horn sounded at the intermission with Tylor Ring's third goal of year via a pass from Simone Nelson. UM would then tack on goals in the 65th and 84th minutes by Kristen Chance and Sabrina Amador respectively to salt away the contest.

HP Fluharty fell to 0-3 in goal for the Badgers with nine saves against 28 shots and five corner kicks by Montevallo while Sydney Young earned the win with four saves versus nine shots and one corner by Spring Hill.

The Badgers (1-7, 0-5 GSC) will next travel to Valdosta, Ga., on Friday to face GSC foe the Valdosta State University Blazers (5-2, 3-2 GSC) at 5 p.m. (EST) on Friday at the VSU Soccer Complex.
