Badger Baseball completes series sweep of Panthers with 10-5 win
Box Score ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The Spring Hill College baseball team closed out a three-game Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) series sweep with a 10-5 road victory over the Claflin University Panthers at historic Mirmow Field on Sunday afternoon.
 
SHC led the Panthers (6-17, 0-3 SIAC) 3-2 after two innings, but stretched the advantage to 5-2 after four innings. The Badgers clawed out to a 10-2 bulge after a five-run 5th frame and maintained a 10-5 lead going into the 7th inning.
 
Michael Druhan finished the day with two home runs to lift his season total to a team-high 10 dingers while Brandon Harigel and Daniel Rodriguez each collected two hits on the afternoon. Starting pitcher Justin Whitsett (4-2) picked up the win in five innings of work while Austin Barrios earned his first save of the year by lasting the final four innings.
 
The Badgers (13-11, 3-0 SIAC) will host arch-rival the University of Mobile Rams (17-9) on Tuesday at historic Stan Galle Field in a non-conference game beginning at 6 p.m.
