Clement's walk-off homer lifts Badger Softball past KSU, 3-2
Box Score The Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team completed a three-game Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) series sweep of the Kentucky State University (KSU) Thorobrettes when catcher Kali Clement's walk-off solo home run with one out in the bottom of the 7th inning handed the Badgers a 3-2 victory at Murray Field on Sunday afternoon.
 
Freshman Baylie Doiron (2-0) picked up the win in one inning of relief of sophomore Danielle Clark who went six innings, allowing six hits with three walks and seven strikeouts. Clement and left fielder Savannah Woodruff both collected two hits and an RBI on the day while second baseman Bayleigh Anders added a pair of doubles.
 
Chante Thome (0-2) took the complete-game loss for the Thorobrettes (0-5, 0-3 SIAC West) with eight hits allowed, no walks and no strike outs. First baseman Kaitlin Oshiro and center fielder Tyniesha Wilson each had two hits for KSU.
 
Spring Hill (11-4, 3-0 SIAC West) travels to Orlando, Fla., this weekend to compete in the annual Disney Tournament beginning on Friday at 3:30 p.m. versus the Armstrong State University Pirates (6-2).
