Badger Baseball splits Sunday DH with No. 20 Florida Tech

Box Score 2 The Spring Hill College (SHC) baseball team took the first game of a non-conference doubleheader by the score of 19-6 and dropped the second 7-0 versus the 20
th-ranked Florida Tech (FIT) Panthers at historic Stan Galle Field on Sunday afternoon.

The Badgers built a 7-0 lead over the Panthers (8-3) after two innings of play and continued to belt the FIT pitching staff in route to 18 hits including a 3-run home run by left fielder
Conner Harrison in the 2
nd inning.

Justin Whitsett (1-1) earned the win in 5.1 inning of work with five hits and seven walks allowed as well as three strike outs.
Michael Romano picked up his third save of the year in 3.2 innings with seven hits, two walks and two strike outs.

In the second game, FIT used a four-run 2
nd frame to capture the early momentum and Andy Marzheuser (2-0) of the Panthers lasted five innings while scattering four hits with a walk and eight strike outs.
Hunter DArmond (1-2) took the loss in four innings with four hits, three walks and four strike outs.

For the Badgers at the plate, Harrison finished with four hits and five RBI, center fielder
Ulysses Fluellen had five hits, first baseman
Michael Druhan tallied four hits, and shortstop
Daniel Rodriguez had three safeties with a run driven in.

The Badgers (5-7) next travel to the University of Mobile on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. non-conference game with the Rams (9-3) at Mike Jacobs Field.
