MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's soccer team closed out the 2017 season with a 2-0 Gulf South Conference (GSC) home loss to the University of West Florida (UWF) Argonauts at Library Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Argonauts (13-3-1; 10-2-1 GSC) scored in the 5
th minute of play as Grace Busby found Savannah Soares with a perfectly place leading entry pass from 30 yards out just to the right of the box that Soares finished from 10 yards in front of the goal. UWF sealed the outcome with a goal in the 67
th minute off the foot of Kaljit Atwal after an entry form the left by Leonie Kreil.
Overall, SHC goalkeeper
HP Fluharty (0-13) made seven saves against 23 shots and eight corner attempts by the Argos while Katelyn Burkhart of UWF made three saves versus seven shots and three corners by the Badgers.
After the game, SHC head coach

The Badgers finished the 2017 season with a 1-17 mark overall and a 0-14 record in the GSC.
