Badgers can't land Sailfish in 4-1 loss
Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Spring Hill College men's soccer team finished play in the Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort Men's Soccer Classic hosted by Lynn University with a 4-1 loss to the Palm Beach Atlantic University Sailfish on Sunday afternoon at Bobby Campbell Stadium.

The Sailfish (2-2) broke on top in the 11th minute of play when Charlie Dennis scored after taking on a series of defenders and finding the goal in bottom left corner.

Kebba Nyang of PBA made it a 2-0 lead in the 36th minute with a low crossing shot that found the right side of the goal following an entry pass by Timo Knull. Knull then added a third goal for the Sailfish with a penalty kick in the 41st minute.

The Badgers cut it to a 3-1 contest in the 57th minute when sophomore Tilman Schober headed in a tally off an entry pass from fellow sophomore Jordan Simon, but Fredo Dilbert of PBA iced away the game in the 67th minute with a score into the lower right of the net off a breakaway goal begun by a leading pass by Dennis.

SHC senior goalkeeper Will Carpenter (0-3-1) made seven saves against 17 shots and seven corner kicks by the Sailfish while Elliot Baker of PBA made two saves against six shots and two corners by the Badgers.

The Badgers (0-3-1) will open Gulf South Conference play on Friday with a match versus the Christian Brothers University Buccaneers (2-1) at 3:30 p.m. at Library Field
