Box Score FLORENCE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) baseball team lost an 11-2 non-conference decision to the University of North Alabama (UNA) Lions on Wednesday afternoon at Mike Lane Field.
 
Badger starter Austin Barrios (0-3) took the loss in 4.0 innings of work with six hits, five walks and five strike outs while Shawn Smirnoff (1-1) picked up his first win of the year for UNA in 6.1 innings with five hits, three walks and eight strike outs.
 
At the plate, Badger catcher Alex Jones enjoyed a 3-for-5 day including a double as outfielder Conner Harrison collected a double to extend his current hitting streak to four games.
 
The Lions (16-17) were paced by right fielder Kevin Hall with a 4-for-4 day that included a double and a triple with two RBI and three runs scored. Shortstop Peyton Stockwell went 4-for-5 with a run-batted-in and one run scored.
 
The Badgers (19-14, 10-2 SIAC) next host the LeMoyne-Owen College Magicians (5-19, 1-6 SIAC) on Saturday in a conference doubleheader beginning at noon.
