Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The West Division-leading Spring Hill College (SHC) baseball team split results in a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) doubleheader versus the East Division-leading Albany State University (ASU) Golden Rams on Saturday afternoon at historic Stan Galle Field falling 8-3 in the first game, but rebounding to win the nightcap in a 12-3 outcome.
 
Spring Hill committed six errors in the field in the opening game as the Golden Rams (17-33; 16-6 SIAC) earned an 8-3 victory over the Badgers. Starter Dylan Kiene (7-3) took the loss in 4.1 innings surrendering eight hits with no walks and four strike outs as ASU rallied for three runs in the 5^th inning to take a 5-3 lead. Jeremy Arrington (1-0) was the winner in relief for ASU in 1.1 innings with a hit, no walks, and a strike out. Eden Payano earned his first save of the year with 2.0 innings of work allowing a hit, three walks and a strike out.
 
Badger shortstop Maverick Latour, third baseman Matthew Spradlin and first baseman William Floros all had two hits in the first game while left fielder Trevor Billings and center fielder Bryant Prather each had a pair of hits for the Golden Rams.
 
The night cap saw the Badger bats awaken for 14 total hits as Spring Hill scored at least once in every inning except the 4^th of the seven-inning contest. Catcher Alex Jones was 4-for-4 with four RBI on the day and his three-run home run in the 3^rd inning gave him the Badger record for RBI in a single season with 66 runs-driven-in to surpass Brad Holstein's mark of 64 set in 2009.
 
Spradlin added two doubles to his day's totals while designated hitter Jacob Malkoff slapped two hits and a sacrifice fly for five RBI.
 
Christian Bahlinger (7-2) took the win in six innings of work with four hits, a walk and five strike outs while ASU used a parade of seven pitchers with starter Brandon Wollett (1-4) taking the loss in 1.1 inning with three hits, a walk and no strike outs.
 
The Badgers (29-15; 18-3 SIAC) will close out the season on Tuesday at 6 p.m. with a non-conference game versus the University of West Florida Argonauts at historic Stan Galle Field.
