Box Score The West Division-leading Spring Hill College (SHC) baseball team secured a 7-2 victory over the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) East Division-leading Albany State University (ASU) Golden Rams on Friday night at historic Stan Galle Field.

Trailing 2-1 entering the bottom of the 4th inning, SHC exploded for four runs in the frame when shortstop Maverick Latour tied the game with a sacrifice fly to right field top plate left fielder Conner Harrison. Third baseman Matthew Spradlin then drove in a run with a single to right-center that brought in designated hitter Brennan Fontenot. Catcher Alex Jones followed with a single to left field to bring in second baseman Garrett Webb and the throw in from the outfield went to the wall down the 1st base line to score Spradlin, making it a 5-2 Badger advantage.

Center fielder Ulysses Fluellen opened the bottom of the 5th inning with a home run down the left field line and Spring Hill successfully worked a 1st-and-3rd double steal in the 7th inning as Harrison took home when Fontenot beat the tag at 2nd base.

Wesley Parrish moved to 8-2 in his senior campaign lasting seven innings with six hits allowed, two walks and nine strike outs. Seniors Andrew Pierson and Hunter Nowak each worked an inning in relief as Pierson gave up a hit and a walk with a strike out and Nowak sat down three consecutive batters to finish the game.
