Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 JASPER, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team continued to roll at the 2016 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Divisional Crossover series by earning a 17-0 victory over the Paine College Lions in five innings and a 9-0 no-hit victory over the Claflin  University Panthers at Memorial Field.
 
The Lions (1-13, 1-9 SIAC) managed just a single hit against Badger starter Katelyn Wilson (1-0) in her collegiate debut for SHC as she struck out nine batters and walked just one.
 
SHC shortstop Carmen Byrd was 4-for-4 at the plate with a triple, a home run and four RBI while third baseman Rene Kausin was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Catcher Kali Clement was 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBI.
 
Badger ace Caroline Sagrera pitched her second no-hitter of the season and the ninth of her career against the Panthers (15-16, 7-2 SIAC), limiting Claflin to just one baserunner off a hit-by-pitch in the 2nd inning. The right-hander also struck out 12 Tiger batters on the day.
 
Designated player Randi DeArmitt went 3-for-3 with a double to lead the SHC offense.
 
Spring Hill (21-11, 10-0 SIAC) will finish play at the SIAC Divisional Crossover in Jasper on Saturday beginning with the Fort Valley State University Wildcats (3-17, 3-7 SIAC) at 2 p.m. and wrapping up with the Clark Atlanta University Panthers (7-15, 4-6 SIAC) at 6 p.m.
