Box Score 2 WESTWEGO, La. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) baseball team split results in a non-conference doubleheader at Jesuit rival the Loyola University Wolf Pack by winning the first game 6-5 and falling 7-0 in the nightcap at Segnette Field on Wednesday night.
The Wolf Pack (16-15) rallied from a 5-0 deficit to tie the opening game at 5-5 following a five-run outburst in the bottom of the 5th inning only to see the Badgers scratch in the top of the 6th frame off out a sacrifice fly by second baseman

Andrew Pierson (2-0) picked the win in two-thirds of an inning of work while
Hunter Nowak earned his second save of the year in 1.2 innings with two hits, no walks and no strike outs.
Johnathan Billings had a no-decision start, lasting 4.2 innings with four hits, four walks and four strike outs. Stewart Campbell (3-1) of Loyola took his first loss of the year in five innings with six hits allowed, four walks and two strike outs.
In the second game,
Austin Barrios (0-2) lasted five innings for SHC with six hits, four walks and four strike outs as Loyola scored three runs in both the 5th and 6th innings to expand a 1-0 lead in the late innings. Jason Roussel of the Wolf Pack earned the shutout victory and scattered seven hits with no walks and five strike outs.
Badger third baseman
Matthew Spradlin collected three hits in the twin bill while
Ulysses Fluellen had two hits including a solo home run in the first game. Catcher
Alex Jones slapped two hits with a double in the opener.
The Badgers (14-10) next face the Morthland College Patriots (0-11) on Thursday at 2 p.m. on historic Stan Galle Field.
