After the match, SHC coach Shawn Taylor said, "It was such an exciting day and tremendous honor to be on the Hill.  To see where this program has come in such short period is due in large part to the family of Jim and Betty Walsh. To have part of their family here and celebrate their lives today was incredibly humbling. As Coach Peggy Martin said before we started play today, 'We finally have a home for our program.'

"UNF is playing some really good volleyball right now. We had to make a last minute change in our lineup today and was concerned with how we'd make the adjustment as a team.  I thought given the circumstances we represented ourselves well. Again, we were able to pick up a win at our 2's spot. Dori and Annie have been agressive and done a nice job of dictating the match.  Molly and Emily haven't had a lot of time playing together but were right in the match and had some exciting rallies to start of the day.

"As we squared off against Principia I couldn't help but think, this is exactly where we were last year. They are a great group of young ladies with solid leadership.  We mixed up the lineup against them as well.  Katie Beth and Emily got us off to a great start with their hustle and extending rallies. Vujnovich wrapped up the day with some thunderous swings.  It was great to see her cut loose on some balls.

"We are building tradition and excited about the growing support we have.  Thanks to everyone that came out."

The Badgers (3-5) will next travel to play in the Tulane University Pelican Classic in Metairie, La., on Friday and Saturday.
