Box Score 2 The Spring Hill College (SHC) baseball team split a non-conference road doubleheader at the University of Mobile (UM) Rams on Friday evening at Mike Jacobs Field by falling 9-3 in the opener, but winning the nightcap 9-0 to win the weekend series 2-to-1.
The Rams (6-7) saw starter Garret Waters earn the complete-game victory in the first game, giving up just six hits with no walks and three strike outs as second baseman Norbeto Torres had two hits with two RBI for the home team.
Johnathan Billings took the loss for the Badgers in 3.2 innings with five hits, four walks and one strikeouts. Catcher
Alex Jones had two hits including a two-run home run in the 6th-inning while designated hitter
Jacob Malkoff had two hits and a 2nd-inning solo homer.
In the second game, Spring Hill belted 10 hits as Jones added his second home run of the day in route to a 9-0 victory.
Christian Bahlinger picked up the complete-game victory with just four hits allowed, two walks and five strike outs. Jones had three total hits to pace the Badger offense while right fielder

Matthew Spradlin each collected two hits.
Christian Breath took the loss for Mobile in 3.2 innings with six hits, four walks and six strike outs. Centerfielder Travis Tessandori had a pair of hits for the Rams.
The Badgers (7-5) will be back at home on historic Stan Galle Field versus Jesuit rival the Loyola University (La.) Wolf Pack on Tuesday beginning at 3:30 p.m.
