Box Score The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's soccer team finished its 2016 season with a 3-1 non-conference home loss to the Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) Warhawks on Sunday afternoon at Library Field.

The Warhawks opened the scoring in the 4th minute of play when Agnes Edlund bent her corner kick attempt from the right side into the upper left-hand corner of the goal. Spring Hill answered back with a tying goal when senior Madison Camet sent the ball from the end line across the face of the goal to her fellow senior Darby Rasch who drove home the score in the 44th minute.

AUM would take the lead for good in the 70th minute when Ruby Mendez scored off a ball played to the middle of the box by Amy Glynn. Mendez would later team with Glynn again in the 78th minute as the duo iced the game with Mendez cleaning up a saved shot attempt by Glynn.

Following the game, SHC head coach Allison Whitworth complimented her team's spirit. "I'm really proud of the seniors and the way the team battled for them," she said. "It was a great effort to be part of to round out our season."

In their final season of transition to NCAA Division II, the Badgers closed the year with a 0-15-3 overall record while AUM finished their first year of the process with an 8-7-1 mark.
