Box Score DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's soccer team closed out the 2016 season at the Embry-Riddle Invitational at ERAU Soccer Stadium on Saturday afternoon with an exciting 3-2 non-conference victory over the Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) Warhawks.
Spring Hill opened the scoring with a goal from the top of the box by freshman
Nicholas Hanson off a pass by sophomore
Tilman Schober in the 18
th minute, but AUM (4-15) tied the game just before the intermission as Alan Harwell accepted an entry pass from Nino Bozesan and scored from in front of the net in the 44
th minute.
The Warhawks grabbed a 2-1 lead in the 67
th minute with a strike from the top of the box, but SHC rallied to retie the match in the 72
nd minute when sophomore
Viktor Kvarnlof accepted a pass from sophomore
Jordan Simon and then beat the keeper one-on-one for an easy shot into the open net.
Simon would provide the game-winning heroics for the Badgers in the 83
rd minute when he cleaned up a rebounded shot by freshman
Donte Oliver with a put-back goal to give Spring Hill a successful end to the 2016 season.

Otto Candies (1-3) earned his first career victory with five saves against 10 shots and 16 corner kicks by the Warhawks while AUM keeper Stephen Ingram (1-7) made four saves versus 14 shots and four corner kicks by the Spring Hill.
In their final season of transition to NCAA Division II, the Badgers finished the season with a 3-13-1 overall record.
