Box Score ROME, Ga. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's soccer team endured a 3-2 Gulf South Conference (GSC) road loss to the Shorter University Hawks on Sunday afternoon at Ben Brady Field.
Just before the half, the Badgers claimed a 1-0 lead over the Hawks (4-4-1, 3-0-1 GSC) in the 44

Ibrahima Ndaw added a penalty kick goal in the opening moments of the second half, but Darwin Lom of Shorter answered right back with a penalty kick goal of his own in the 60
th minute and a tying goal from five yards out in the 62
nd minute off a crossing entry pass from Antonio Santarsiero.
Lom then put the Hawks on top 3-2 when he followed his own blocked penalty kick attempt with a put-back hat trick goal in the 79
th minute.
Badger senior goalkeeper
Will Carpenter (1-8-1) made 14 saves against 27 shots in 78 minutes of play while redshirt freshman
Otto Candies finished the final 12 minutes of play with one save against two shots. In total, the Hawks to 11 corner kicks against the SHC defense. Austen Trevers of Shorter picked up the win in-goal with three saves against eight shots and four corners attempts by the Badgers.
The Badgers (1-8-1, 1-4 GSC) will visit Montgomery, Ala., on Wednesday to challenge conference foe the Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) Warhawks (2-8) at 7 p.m. at the AUM Soccer Complex.
