Following the match, SHC head coach
Peggy Martin was happy with her squad's teamwork and comradery throughout the season. "Everyone who made the trip has contributed and the depth of the team really helps when you play six matches in two days," she said. "Our freshmen are playing a big role in the front and back rows. They have been called upon to play a lot and have met the challenge."
The youngest Badgers continue to impress Martin. "Two freshmen defensive players have been exceptionally good this weekend," she said. "Our libero Sterrett and our baseline player Bilotti.
Payton Gidney also has been a spark off the bench at the outside hitting position."
The Badgers (22-3, 17-0 SIAC West) will return to home action on Tuesday at 6 p.m. when they host the Golden Rams (10-10) of Albany State University in a non-conference match at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
