Badgers burned by Lee Flames, 3-1
Box Score CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's soccer team took a 3-1 Gulf South Conference (GSC) road loss to the Lee University Flames on Friday at Lee Soccer Field.

The Flames (8-3, 3-0 GSC) broke the scoring ice in the 24th minute of play when Jeremy Bonyaa scored his first goal of the year off a headed ball into the net following a corner kick by David Perez. Samaan Williams scored his second goal of the season and Lee's second of the game with a tally in the 33rd minute off a shot deflected past the SHC keeper following an assist by Jose Orellana.

The score grew to 3-0 in favor of the Flames when Orellana lifted a ball over and past the Badger keeper from the top of box for his third goal of the season in the 38th minute with an assist from Perez.

Senior forward Ibrahima Ndaw put SHC on the board in the 62nd minute with his team-leading fourth goal of the year when he cleaned up a saved shot by freshman Donte Oliver.

Badger senior goalkeeper Will Carpenter (1-7-1) made two saves versus nine shots and 13 corner kicks by the Flames. Lee's Daniel Hrenko (7-0-0) earned the win in 45 minutes in-goal with three saves against three shots and two corners by the Badgers while Ryan McGrath played the second half in-goal with one save in the face of six shots and two corner attempts.

The Badgers (1-7-1, 1-4 GSC) will visit GSC opponents the Shorter University Hawks (3-4, 2-0 GSC) on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. (EST) at Ben Brady Field in Rome, Ga.
