Box Score CLINTON, Miss. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's soccer team closed out its 2016 Gulf South Conference schedule with a 7-0 loss to the Mississippi College (MC) Lady Choctaws at Robert P. Longabaugh Field on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Lady Choctaws (12-4-1; 8-2-1 GSC) took a 3-0 lead into the halftime intermission off two goals by Kyra Montes in the 9^th and 28^th minutes sandwiched around a strike by Lauren Smith in the 16^th minute. The second half saw MC record goals by Caitlyn Hayes and Sydney Oliver in the 57^th and 83^rd minutes while Emma Claire Fruman registered scores in the 62^nd and 73^rd minutes.
 
Badger redshirt freshman goalkeeper Hannah Shankman (0-4-1) made 11 saves versus 37 shots and 12 corner kicks by the Choctaws while her counterpart Melanie Hummert (1-0) of MC picked up four saves against eight shots and no corner attempts by Spring Hill.
 
The Badgers (0-14-3, 0-10-2 GSC) will wrap up the 2016 season at home on Library Field on Sunday, November 6, at 1 p.m. with a non-conference contest versus the Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) Warhawks (7-7-1).
