Following the match, SHC head coach
Allison Whitworth was proud of her team's effort. "We fought hard to come back and tie it up," she said. "It was one of our better offensive efforts this year with three or four shots off the post and some great opportunities on corners, but we couldn't get a second goal to fall. Shankman played very well and made some late crucial saves.
Kaelin Dull anchored the midfield and fought back after a bloody collision. We have a group hungry for wins this week with our remaining games versus Mississippi College and AUM."
The Badgers (0-13-3, 0-9-2 GSC) will next travel to Clinton, Miss., on Saturday to face GSC opponent the Mississippi College Lady Choctaws (10-4-1; 7-2-1 GSC) for their final conference match of the year on Robert P. Longabaugh Field at 1 p.m.
