UAH shuts out Badgers, 3-0
Box Score The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 Gulf South Conference (GSC) loss to the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Chargers on Sunday afternoon at Library Field.
 
The Chargers (8-8; 4-7 GSC) opened the scoring in the 22nd minute as Riley Ridgeway and Sydney Pfankuch teamed to assist Maddie Maurice who put home her fourth goal of the year. Pfankuch then scored off a Ridgeway assist in the 75th minute with a shot from just outside the penalty area. Alexcia Alexander finished off the day with a chip past the keeper from five yards out in the 83rd minute.
 
Badger freshman goalkeeper Hannah Shankman (0-2-1) made two saves against 16 shots and seven corner kicks by the Chargers while her UAH counterpart Larae Breaux (8-8) made three saves versus 17 shots and six corners by Spring Hill.
 
The Badgers (0-12-3, 0-8-2 GSC) will travel to Cleveland, Miss., on Thursday to face GSC opponent the Delta State University Lady Statesmen (5-10; 1-9 GSC) on Delta Field at 3 p.m.
