Box Score The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's soccer team took a 7-2 Gulf South Conference (GSC) loss to the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Chargers on Sunday afternoon at Library Field.

Spring Hill cracked the scoreboard first with a tally by sophomore
Tilman Schober from 15 yards out off a long thrown in by fellow sophomore

th minute. The Chargers (5-9-1, 3-4-1 GSC) answered back in the 27
th minute when Hermann Bjornsson beat the SHC keeper to the far post from 15 yards out via an entry by James Narke. Bjornsson later put UAH up 2-1 in the 29
th minute as Guy Clennett found him with a pass across the 6-yard box after beating a defender along the baseline.

th minute of play as sophomore
Jordan Simon found him open for a shot from six yards out.

After the intermission, UAH scored just 41 seconds into the period after Corentin Diverres drove home a shot from the top of the box. Bjornsson scored again from five yards out in the 51
st minute and Narke added goals in the 54
th and 70
th minutes with an assist from Clennett and two by Daniel Buchannan. Sergio Delgado added a final score in the 83
rd minute with a header goal off a corner kick by Diverres.

Otto Candies (0-1) took the loss in relief of senior starter
Will Carpenter. Candies made four saves in 57 minutes in goal as the SHC goal keeping pair faced 22 shots and six corners by UAH. Charger starter Gabriel Chilas (5-9-1) made one save in 71 minutes in goal and Myles Fullen picked up a save in relief over the final 19 minutes of play. Together, the UAH duo faced 15 shots and 12 corner kicks by Spring Hill.

The Badgers (2-11-1, 1-8 GSC) will close out their home season on Saturday at Library Field with a non-conference match versus the University of West Florida (UWF) Argonauts (6-5-2) at 1 p.m. Before the match, the Badgers will honor their Senior Class teammates with the annual Senior Day ceremony.
