Box Score The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's basketball team lost a 56-48 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) decision to the Albany State University (ASU) Lady Rams at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Saturday afternoon.
The Badgers and Lady Rams (5-9, 5-1 SIAC East) were knotted at 13-13 after the first 10 minutes of play, but ASU clawed out to a 25-21 advantage at halftime. The SHC deficit increased to 39-34 after three quarters of play and grew to as much as 52-43 with 2:05 left to go.

Jennifer Clark with 34 seconds left as SHC whittled the score down to 52-48, but the Rams would connect on 4-of-6 free throws down the stretch to salt away the game.
"We didn't play our best tonight," said SHC head coach
Karen McConico after the game. "We came out flat and played sloppy with the ball. We can't expect to win with poor ball handling."
Spring Hill was led by Clark with 14 points and junior forward
Camry Johnson with 11 rebounds. As a team, the Badger shot just 29.4% (15-51) from the field and 35.7% (5-14) from 3-point range.
For the visitors from Georgia, Artisha Holston put 18 points in the goals and hauled in 11 rebounds as Kyasha Wilson added 11 points to the ASU totals.
The two teams reached a 36-36 deadlock in rebounding, but Spring Hill lost 25 turnovers to 12 steals by Albany State while the Rams lost 21 turnovers to nine steals by the Badgers.
The Badgers (5-9, 3-2 SIAC West) will begin a two-week road swing on Thursday when they travel to Columbia, S.C., to face the 18th-ranked Benedict College Lady Tigers (15-1, 5-1 SIAC East) in a conference match at 5:30 p.m. (Eastern) in the Benjamin E. Mays HRC Arena.
