Box Score 2 WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) volleyball team opened the 2015 season at the Rollins College Invitational in Warden Arena and came away with a pair of 3-0 losses versus the Southern New Hampshire University Penmen and the Northern State University (NSU) Wolves.
In the morning match with the Penmen (1-0), the Badgers dropped the first set in a tough-fought 27-25 outcome and then saw a late Penmen run turn a 16-15 deficit into a 25-17 downturn. SNHU jumped out to a commanding 21-12 lead in the third set in route to a 25-16 final.

Madison Seuzeneau of Tampa, Fla., led the Badgers with seven kills while senior setter
Mallory Raulerson out of McGill-Toolen Catholic High School in Mobile recorded 22 of the 25 SHC assists and three of the team's six aces. Sophomore
Julie Vujnovich of Belle Chasse, La., scooped up 22 of the 25 Badger digs in the match while freshman
Dorina Klinger from Frauental, Austria, had two of the six total SHC blocks. As a team, the Badgers struggled to a .042 attack percentage with 29 kills and 24 errors in 120 attacks.
Victoria Wehrman of SNHU led the match with nine kills as Maeghan Higgins handed out 24 of the Penmen's 34 assists. SNHU finished the match with a .191 attack percentage (36-15-110) and three total blocks as Holly Adams served three of six Penmen aces.
The early afternoon contest versus the Wolves (1-0), the Badgers suffered another three-set (25-11, 25-13, 25-11) set back. Sophomore
Katelyn Bobinger from McGill-Toolen collected seven kills and two ofr the four Badger Aces in the match while Raulerson handed around 19 of 21 Badger assists and six of the 23 SHC digs. Spring Hill finished with a .090 attack percentage (22-14-89) and two total blocks.
NSU was paced by Cari McGarvie with 16 kills and five block assists as Kelsey Chambers had 10 kills and three of the seven Wolf aces. Drew Smith dished out 44 of the 48 assists by NSU and Renee Hoffman corralled 12 of the 44 NSU digs. In total, NSU racked up 7.5 total blocks and a .506 attack percentage (49-7-83).
The Badgers (0-2) remain in Winter Park on Saturday for matches with the University of Sioux Falls Cougars (1-0) at 11 a.m. before wrapping up the tournament versus the host Rollins College Tars (0-0) beginning at 3 p.m.
