Box Score JACKSON, Tenn. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's soccer team accepted a 3-0 conference road loss to the Union University Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon at Smith Memorial Soccer Complex.

The Bulldogs (2-6, 2-0 GSC) first broke onto the scoreboard in the 28th minute with a goal into the left side of the goal by Kayleigh Patterson off an assist by Honeye Heydari.

After the intermission, Union made it a 3-0 margin with another score in the left side of the goal in the 48th minute by Heydari with an assist from Hannah Miller and a third tally just four minutes later by Kelsey Wilkes.

Senior Badger goalkeeper Maggie Dalessio (0-5-2) made six saves versus 12 shots and three corners kicks by the Bulldogs. For Union's defense, keeper Kristen Francis made nine saves against 19 shots and a single corner attempt by the Badgers.

"Today was another great effort by our student-athletes," said assistant coach Melissa Drish following the game. "We are playing quality soccer. Our main focus now is scoring goals and learning how to cut down on goals scored against us. I am proud of everything our ladies have done this weekend."

The Badgers (0-5-2, 0-4 GSC) return home this weekend to host a conference contest against the Shorter University Lady Hawks (4-4, 1-2 GSC) at Library Field on Friday at 1 p.m. Historically, the Badgers are 1-4 versus the Lady Hawks since 2004, including a 3-1 loss in Rome, Ga., last season.
