CBU moves past Spring Hill ladies, 4-1
Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's soccer team underwent a 4-1 conference road loss to the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs on Friday evening at Signaigo Field.

The Lady Bucs (6-1, 3-0 GSC) scored just 30 second into the contest off the foot of Ingrid Mello and then made it a 2-0 difference off a penalty kick by Mariana Tonelli in the 41st minute.

The second half started much like the first period with CBU's Connie Strini scoring her second goal of the year just a minute and three seconds into the frame off an assist by Tonelli. Strini would later tack on a 4th goal in the 78th minute for the Lady Bucs.

Spring Hill avoided the shutout with a tally in the 80th minute when sophomore Madison Camet scored off an assist by junior Darby Rasch.

SHC senior goalkeeper Maggie Dalessio (0-4-2) made two saves against 11 shots and seven corner kicks while Emily Wragg of CBU made two saves against eight shots and two corner attempts.

"It was a excellent effort by our women tonight," said assistant coach Melissa Drish following the game. "I don't believe the score shows how well and hard we played. We grew as a team today and we look forward to working hard on Sunday against Union."

The Badgers (0-4-2, 0-3 GSC) will next travel to Jackson, Tenn., to face the Union University Bulldogs (1-6, 1-0 GSC) at Smith Memorial Soccer Complex on Sunday at 2 p.m.
