Box Score PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) volleyball team suffered a 3-1 (25-20, 15-25, 22-25, 18-25) non-conference loss to the University of Mobile Lady Rams on Tuesday evening at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.

The Lady Rams (13-2) spoiled the Badger home-opener by rallying from a 25-20 first-set loss in which the Badgers used a crucial 7-point run from down 10-12 to take a 17-12 advantage.

Mobile would take the second set 25-15 by jumping out to a commanding 13-7 lead and building as much as a 20-12 cushion. The third set saw the Badgers fall down 5-1 early, but regroup to tie the set at 11-11, 14-14 and 17-17 only to let the Rams off the hook with a late 5-point run in route to the 25-22 win.

The fourth and final set was a back-and-forth affair as Spring Hill rallied behind the serving of sophomore Randi De'Armitt to turn a 13-16 deficit into a 17-16 lead and then an 18-18 tie only to watch the Rams run off the final seven points for the 25-18 victory.

"I thought we came out really ready, but maybe a little bit too energized," said SHC head coach Peggy Martin. "We hit a wall and I would give all the credit to Mobile. I thought they served and passed exceptionally well and our passing broke down. I thought it was an entertaining match for our fans and I'm sorry we didn't come out with a victory, but we're going to work hard to get better and hopefully improve by the next time that we get to see them."

SHC and the Lady will meet again at the University of Mobile on September 22.

As a team, SHC built an attack percentage of .108 (42-24-166) as junior Madison Seuzeneau and sophomore Katelyn Bobinger each had 10 kills and senior setter Mallory Raulerson handed out 30 assists. Sophomore libero Julie Vujnovich had 17 of the Badgers 70 digs while SHC earned seven total team blocks. The Lady Rams held a .240 attack percentage (59-22-154) with 87 digs and four total blocks.

The Badgers (7-6, 5-1 SIAC) next travel to Albany, Ga., on Thursday to open play in the 2015 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Crossover Tournament hosted by Albany State University. SHC will begin play in the three-day event versus Paine College (2-2, 0-0 SIAC) at 10 a.m.
