Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 JACKSON, Tenn. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team took home two more victories on Friday afternoon by sweeping a conference road doubleheader away from  the Lane College Lady Dragons by the scores of 11-2 and 22-3 in a twin bill held at Fesmire Field on the Union University campus.

Badger starter Caroline Sagrera struck out 13 batters in the 5-inning first game and allowed just one hit with no walks, but the one hit she surrendered was a two-run homer by Lane's Jasmine McNeal following a hit-batter in the bottom of the 4th inning.

In the second game, the Badgers erupted for two 7-run innings in the 3rd and 5th frames as junior Sarah Bolotte (3-0) took the win in four innings pitched with six hits and a walk allowed to go with three strikeouts.

On offense, SHC pounded out 30 hits on the day senior shortstop Shea Blanchard going 5-for-7 with a double, triple and her third home run of the year. Reserve freshman outfielder Brooke Vosloh punched a Grand Glam in the 5th inning of the nightcap for her first career dinger while junior catcher Samantha Leach and junior outfielder Lauren Stewart also slapped homers.

Spring Hill (22-4, 9-0 SIAC) will finish out this 3-game series with a single game versus Lane (6-5, 4-5 SIAC) on Saturday at Fesmire Field beginning at 10 a.m.
