ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's tennis team suffered an 8-1 non-conference loss to the Birmingham-Southern College Lady Panthers on Sunday afternoon.

The Badgers trailed the Lady Panthers (4-0) 3-0 after doubles play and avoided a 9-0 sweep when senior Allison Gmelich earned a victory No. 6 singles court following the retirement of Alana Owens in the 2nd set

Spring Hill (5-8) will host the University of Mobile Lady Rams (7-6) at 4 p.m. on Tuesday in a non-conference match at the Mobile Tennis Center.
