Box Score NEW ORELANS, La. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's basketball team lost an 84-66 non-conference road game to Jesuit rival the Loyola University (La.) Wolf Pack on Thursday night at the Den.

Chase Shellman connected with a reverse layup to make it a 10-6 deficit.
By the 12-minute mark, Loyola maintained an 18-11 lead as the Badgers suffered six early turnovers created by four Wolf Pack steals. Two free throws by guard
Wesley Pietri tied the game at 22-22 with seven minutes left in the half, but Loyola would hold a 26-25 lead one minute later.
After starting the game and leaving the court juts four minutes into play, redshirt freshman guard
Sawyer Glick returned to the court at the 8:20 mark and proceeded to score 17 points off 7-for-10 shooting to give the Badgers a 41-36 advantage at the half.
Loyola responded by taking a 46-45 lead three minutes into the second half and a 55-45 lead by the 13-minute mark. SHC cut the deficit down to 58-55 at 8:48, but in a game of runs Loyola rebuilt a 64-55 cushion with 5:56 to play as the Badger shooting went cold. By the 4:00 minute mark, Loyola had outdistanced SHC by a 75-59 margin.
Individually, Glick scored 19 points, Shellman contributed 13 points, and Massey added 12, as the Badgers shot 41.4% (24-58) including 23.8% (5-21) from 3-point distance.
Loyola knocked down 49.2% (29-59) of their shots and 33.3% (7-21) of their 3-point attempts. Nick Parker hit for a game-high 24 points, Tre'von Jasmine had 19 and Johnny Griffin, Jr. added 14 points for Loyola. The Wolf Pack benefitted from 18 Badgers turnovers while forcing eight steals as SHC saw Loyola fumble away 18 turnovers to seven Badger steals. The Wolf Pack also out-rebounded the Badgers 41-35.
The Badgers (1-3) will next visit the University of West Florida (UWF) Argonauts (0-2) for a non-conference on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the UWF Field House.
