Box Score AMERICUS, Ga. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's soccer team lost a 1-0 non-conference match at the Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) Hurricanes on Sunday afternoon on GSW Soccer Field.

After a scoreless 1st half, the Hurricanes (2-11-2) would score in the 88th minute of play when Silvio Polly tallied his sixth goal of the year off an assist from Chris Steinwachs' lead pass in the box.

SHC senior goalkeeper Jacob Files (1-3) of Clinton, Miss., recorded eight saves against 16 shots and six corner kicks by the Hurricanes while Garrett Blamire (2-7-1) earned the first GSW shutout of the season with two saves against four shots and two corner attempts by the Badgers.

The Badgers (3-13) will begin play in the annual Classic on the Hill on Friday morning at 11 a.m. versus non-conference foe the Southern Wesleyan University (SWU) Warriors (9-5-2) at Library Field. Since 2010, SHC is 1-3-1 versus the Warriors, including a 1-0 loss last year in Central, S.C.
