Box Score TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) volleyball team took a 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-11) Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) road victory over the Tuskegee University Tigerettes at the Daniel 'Chappie' James Center on Friday night.
The Badgers were paced on offense by
Randi De'Armitt with 10 kills while hitting .444 for the match and adding 13 digs.
Katelyn Bobinger added 10 kills and hit .667 on the night.
Defensively,
Julie Vujnovich added 11 digs and freshman
Dorina Klinger had four block assists. Senior setter
Mallory Raulerson recorded four service aces and a match-high 36 assists for the Badgers, who finished hitting .422 as a team for the night.
The Tigerettes (10-9, 8-6 SIAC) were led by Pamela Allen and Jamiah Breda-Nixon who both recorded seven kills as Allen finished the night hitting .296 on 17 total attempts with a service ace. Breda-Nixon hit a healthy .438 on 16 attempts with one dig and one block for Tuskegee.
Morgan Scrivens led Tuskegee with 20 assists while Zahria Radford chipped in defensively with 13 digs.
"I was really happy with team effort against a very athletic opponent," said SHC head coach
Peggy Martin following the contest. "Bobinger and Raulerson are connecting well in the middle. Our serving was disappointing, but great offensive production overcame that deficit in our game."
The Badgers (16-6, 13-1 SIAC) next travel to New Orleans, La., on Monday for a non-conference match with Jesuit rival the Loyola University Wolf Pack (12-10) at 6 p.m. in The Den.
