Magicians trick Badgers, 74-57
Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's basketball team accepted a 74-57 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) loss to the LeMoyne-Owen College Magicians on Monday night at Bruce/Johnson Hall.

The Magicians (9-9, 6-4 SIAC West) trailed the Badgers 33-32 at halftime, but used an 18-0 run from the 14-minute mark to the 9-minute mark to turn a 46-41 deficit into a commanding 59-46 lead.

Junior guard DeVaughn Hardrick and freshman guard Jack Morrissey each scored 14 points for Spring Hill as the Badgers shot 39% (23-59) from the floor and 28% (7-25) from 3-point distance. SHC lost 17 turnovers to 10 steals by the Magicians, but won the rebounding war 35-31.

Jerry Hampton led LeMoyne-Owen with 21 points and the Magicians shot 53.1% (26-49) overall including 25% (3-12) in 3-point attempts. The home team lost just nine turnovers to four Badger steals.

Spring Hill (6-14, 5-6 SIAC West) will rest for the next week following this three-game road trip before journeying to Fairfield, Ala., on Monday for a 7:30 p.m. game at the Miles College Golden Bears (1-15, 0-9 SIAC West) in Bill Harris Arena.
