Box Score 2 MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Spring Hill college volleyball team split results at the opening day of the annual Faulkner University Invitational in Davis Gymnasium on Friday. In the opening match, SHC fell 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-14) versus the Southeastern University (Fla.) Fire, but then rebounded to win 3-0 (25-13, 25-23, 25-18) against the Milligan College Buffaloes.

In the afternoon match with SEU (3-2), senior
Megan Haber of Lillian, Ala., tallied 10 kills to pace the SHC effort.

In the nightcap with Milligan (4-3), sophomore
Savannah Becnel of Metairie, La., collected nine kills and freshman setter
Marie Rooks of Tallahassee, Fla., handed out 21 assists. Senior
Sami Maurer of St. Louis, Mo., roped in 13 digs. As a team, SHC totaled a .267 attack percentage (37-10-101), with 50 digs and four blocks.

Spring Hill (1-2) will remain in Montgomery overnight to wrap up the tournament on Saturday versus the Lindsey Wilson College Blue Raiders (7-2) at 9 a.m. and the Truett-McConnell College Bears (0-1) at 1 p.m.
