Montevallo slips past Badger men, 2-0
Box Score MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Spring Hill College men's soccer team fell to the University of Montevallo Falcons in a 2-0 non-conference decision at Varsity Field on Tuesday night.

The Falcons (3-1-2) jumped up late in the 1st half with a goal in the 32nd minute off the foot of Srdjan Dujkovic following an entry pass from the right side by Jeffrey Hessenberger who had accepted an earlier pass from Ahmet Brown.

Hessenberger added a second assist to his totals in the 2nd half when he lifted a pass to Kyle Stuller who knocked it home in the 73rd minute.

Junior Jacob Files (0-1) of Clinton, Miss., took the loss in-goal in his first start of the year, but made three saves against 10 Falcon shots. Montevallo goalkeeper Yannic Horn earned the victory with seven saves against 16 shots by Spring Hill. From the corners, Montevallo tried four kicks from the sides while SHC had six boots at the corners.

Spring Hill (1-4, 0-0 GSC) next opens its debut season in the Gulf South Conference (GSC) on Friday at 4 p.m. at Library Field versus the Christian Brothers University Buccaneers (4-1, 0-0 GSC) from Memphis, Tenn.
