Badgers add two more to wins total at SIAC Crossover
Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 FORT VALLEY, Ga. - The Spring Hill college volleyball team took two more victories at Day 2 of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Division Crossover Tournament hosted by Fort Valley State University on Thursday.

In the day's morning session, the Badgers defeated the Albany State University Golden Rams (2-5, 2-2 SIAC) in a 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-15) decision. Senior Megan Haber of Lillian, Ala., knocked down 13 kills and 5.5 blocks while freshman setter Marie Rooks from Tallahassee, Fla., distributed 36 assists. Three Badgers recorded double digit digs totals as sophomore Molly Griffin of Westlake Village, Calif., had 16, senior Sami Maurer of St. Louis, Mo., had 15 and freshman Julie Vujnovich of Belle Chasse, La., tallied 11 digs.

In team totals, SHC hit .289 (38-10-97) with six aces, 16 total blocks and 60 digs.

The afternoon session saw Spring Hill rally past the Claflin University Panthers (5-5, 2-2 SIAC) by a score of 3-1 (19-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-19) after dropping the first set, but regrouping to win the next three frames. Haber pounded out another 18 kills as Rooks recorded 39 assists and three aces. Maurer scooped in another 25 digs as Griffin snagged 15 more digs for her totals.

SHC built a .232 attack percentage (50-17-142) with eight aces, 68 digs and three total blocks. The Badgers held Claflin to a .145 attack percentage (42-21-145) with nine aces, 66 digs and five blocks.

Spring Hill (12-3, 8-0 SIAC) will remain in Fort Valley to wrap up play in the SIAC Division Crossover on Saturday at 9 a.m. versus the Benedict Tigers (5-3, 2-2 SIAC).
