Badger volleyball takes three wins at SIAC West Round-Up
Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 FRANKFORT, Ky. - The Spring Hill college volleyball team opened its first season in the Southern States Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) by winning three matches in one day at the SIAC West Division Round-Up hosted by Kentucky State University at the Exum Center.

In the opening match with LeMoyne-Owen College (0-1, 0-1 SIAC), the Badgers out ran the Magicians 3-0 (25-9, 25-11, 25-3) in just 53 minutes. Sophomore Madison Seuzeneau of Tampa, Fla., racked up 12 kills while senior Megan Haber of Lillian, Ala., recorded 10 kills. Freshman setter Marie Rooks of Tallahassee, Fla., dished out 36 assists with three aces and junior Mallory Raulerson from Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School served four aces. As a team, SHC hit .588 (44-4-68) with 11 aces, 19 digs and four blocks.

Next, the Badgers faced the host team and conference preseason favorite the Kentucky State (1-5, 1-1 SIAC) and earned a 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 25-23, 25-15) decision over the Thorobreds. Seuzeneau put down another 16 kills, Haber another 14 kills and sophomore Molly Griffin of Westlake Village, Calif., added 13 kills. Rooks handed 53 assists around to her teammates. SHC hit for a.377 average (63-14-130) with three aces, four blocks and 49 digs.

Finally, SHC wrapped up the marathon day with a match against the Lane College Dragons (0-3, 0-3 SIAC) with a 3-0 (25-5, 25-4, 25-2) win as freshman Hannah Masoner of Camden, Tenn., drove home 19 kills, Raulerson gave out 39 assists. In total, the Badgers hit .537 (42-6-67) with 20 aces, 32 digs and a block.

Spring Hill (6-3, 3-0 SIAC) will next travel to New Orleans, La., on Tuesday to face the Dillard University Lady Bleu Devils (2-1) in a non-conference match beginning at 7 p.m. at A.W. Dent Gymnasium.
