Women of the Hill tie 1-1 with West Georgia
Box Score Regulation time and two overtimes proved to be not enough to reach a decision at Library Field as the Spring Hill College women's soccer team tied 1-1 with the University of West Georgia (UWG) Wolves in a Gulf South Conference (GSC) game on Thursday afternoon.

The Wolves (1-10-2, 1-5-1 GSC) scratched the board first when Taylor North lifted an entry pass from the top of the box into Katy Mixon who scored from eight yards out in the 17th minute of play.

SHC answered with a penalty kick goal by junior Courtney Harlan that found the top shelf in the 58th minute. From there the defenses for both teams took over and shut down the opposing offenses for the final 32 minutes of regulation play and two 10-minute overtimes.

SHC keeper senior Abby Massengale (2-1-1) of New Orleans, La., faced 10 shots and seven corner kicks with four saves while Katie Miklausich of UWG made nine saves against 21 Badger shots and six corner opportunities.

Spring Hill (3-6-1, 1-5-1 GSC) will next travel to Valdosta, Ga., to face the Blazers (4-4-1, 4-1-1 GSC) of Valdosta State University in a 1 p.m. Sunday kickoff.
