Box Score ROME, Ga. – The Spring Hill College women's soccer team lost to the Lady Hawks of Shorter University by the score of 3-1 in a Gulf South Conference (GSC) soccer contest at Ben Brady Field on Friday afternoon.

Aedan Stranahan from Eureka, Calif., put the Badgers up 1-0 over Shorter (6-2, 2-2 GSC) in the 20th minute of play after scoring off an entry pass from sophomore defender
Lauren Clement of Scottsdale, Ariz., who nicely placed a free kick attempt in front of the goal.
With just 36 seconds remaining in the 1st half, Shorter tied the game with a 40-yard strike that knotted the match at 1-1 heading to the intermission. The Lady Hawks would later take a 2-1 lead off a penalty kick goal following a foul in the box in the 65th minute. A final goal would trickle into the net for Shorter when a loose ball found its way past the SHC defense in the 83rd minute.

Abby Massengale (2-1) of New Orleans, La., assuming the role in the 2nd half and taking her first loss of the year.
Spring Hill (3-5, 1-4 GSC) will next travel to Cleveland, Tenn., on Sunday to face the Lady Flames of Lee University (4-4-1, 3-1 GSC) for a conference match at the Lee Soccer Field in a 1 p.m. kickoff.
