Spring Hill women tie Delta State after 2OTs, 2-2
Box Score CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Spring Hill College women's soccer team tied the Delta State University Statesmen in a 2-2 Gulf South Conference (GSC) decision after two overtimes at Delta Field on Sunday afternoon.

The Statesmen (2-11-2, 0-9-1 GSC) scored a goal by Erin Tucker just 36 seconds into the match to put the Badgers into an early hole, but Spring Hill junior Courtney Harlan from Mobile, Ala., tied the game at 1-1 with a penalty kick goal in the 15th minute.

Just 10 minutes later, Kailey Bryan put DSU back on top 2-1 with a tally that found the far post from 17 yards out off an assist by Tais Cotta. Badger freshman Francesca Talotta of Mobile knotted the game at 2-2 in the 43rd minute with a strike just before intermission.

Senior starting goalkeeper Abby Massengale of New Orleans, La., moved to 2-2-2 on the year with no saves against four shots and a corner attempt by the Statesmen while junior Maggie Dalessio of St. Petersburg, Fla., took over at halftime and made one save against four shots and a corner kick. Katie Swain of DSU moved to 2-9-2 with eight saves against 15 Badger shots and five corner kicks.

Spring Hill (3-9-3, 1-8-3 GSC) will next wrap up its 2014 season on Saturday with a non-conference home match versus Middle Georgia State College Knights (2-9-3) at 1 p.m. on Library Field.
