A transfer sophomore midfielder on the women’s soccer team from Madison, Ala., Newchurch scored twice in the Badger 3-2 Gulf South Conference (GSC) victory over Delta State on Sunday.  Newchurch first connected from 12 yards out in the 49th minute when she cleaned up a rebounded shot off the crossbar by junior Brittany McNair. She scored again in the 69th minute with a sharpshooter’s tally over the keeper's head from straight on at 25 yards out.
