Matias, a freshman point guard from Henderson, N.C., only scored two points in the Badgers’ 67-62 victory at Central State University on Monday night, but her points came off two free throws with 12 seconds left to ice a win that put SHC in first place in the SIAC West Division with just 3½ games left in the season. For the year, she has scored 15 points with 22 assists, 20 rebounds and eight steals in 19 appearances.
